CONTRACT
April 30 & May 1, 2005
All artists and craftspeople will abide by and be subject to the following agreement as a condition for acceptance as an exhibitor at The Lloyd Harbor Historical Society's Daffodil Hill Fine Arts & Crafts Fair:
1. All arts & crafts to be displayed at my booth at the Lloyd Harbor Historical Society's (“Society”) Daffodil Hill Fine Arts & Crafts Fair ("Fair") are my own or my family's handmade creations.
2. I will not sublet my space nor act as an agent or dealer for other craftspeople or manufacturers.
3. I understand that the Society and its board members reserve the right to remove, without refund or recourse, any exhibitor who misrepresents his or her work, or violates this contract.
4. I agree to comply with all local and state regulations. I will have no open flames, unless approved in writing by the Society.
5. I will obtain all tax, vendor, and/or other permits as required by local or state authorities at my own expense.
6. I understand that set-up is between 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005. I will breakdown and clean up my space by 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2005. I agree to remain set-up for the duration of the fair.
7. I agree to present an appealing booth space. I understand that I must have a canopy (tent) and that I must stake and secure my canopy. I will store excess stock out of sight.
8. My enclosed check represents a commitment to the Society's Fair. Once accepted, I understand that if I do not appear at least one hour before the Fair to set-up, I forfeit my right to exhibit my arts & crafts without recourse or refund. I also understand that should the Society reject my application or waitlist me for the Fair, then the Society will return my check.
9. If my check is dishonored for any reason, I agree to replace it with a money order or bank check for the amount of the check plus a $20.00 fee.
10. I understand that the Society reserves the right to amend the provisions of this contract prior to the Fair. Should the Society amend this contract, I understand that it will do so in writing and with notice to all craftspeople who have committed to the Fair.
11. I understand that neither the Society nor its employees, volunteers, trustees, agents or other persons engaged by it, are employees or agents of the State of New York for any purpose whatsoever.
